TRACKING
A clear plan.
Beyond the hardware.
Choose tracking around your hypercar, your insurer and the way the car is used.
START WITH THE REQUIREMENT
The right questions come first.
What has your insurer actually requested?
Before selecting a tracker, obtain the wording from your insurer or broker. A request for a particular tracking category, driver recognition or a monitored service should be checked against the exact product and subscription being proposed.
Ask about the policy deadline, any restrictions before installation and what evidence they need. We can discuss the installation; acceptance of cover remains your insurer’s decision.
How will the car be kept and moved?
Occasional use, storage arrangements, transporter movements and changes of driver affect your day-to-day routine. Discuss these before fitting so you understand any required notifications, app access and driver identification process.
Confirm the ongoing subscription, renewal arrangement, support contact and how to report a suspected theft. Tracking depends on equipment operation and the relevant connectivity; it cannot guarantee recovery.
PRODUCT DISCUSSION
Options from Autosecureshop.
Product selection follows a compatibility assessment. You can review the main Autosecureshop product pages below, then discuss suitability for your specific hypercar.
Prices, subscriptions, product specifications and compatibility must be confirmed when quoting. A product link is not a fitment or insurance guarantee.
BEFORE INSTALLATION
Your tracking checklist.
- Written insurer requirement and installation deadline.
- Exact model, build year and existing security equipment.
- Driver identification and spare-driver arrangements.
- Subscription term, renewal and monitoring responsibilities.
- Installation documentation and an owner demonstration.
THE DETAILS OF OWNERSHIP
A more complete brief.
Assess the service as well as the equipment
A hypercar tracker enquiry should end with an understandable ownership arrangement. Ask who provides the monitoring service, how the account will be established and what the owner needs to do after fitting. Separate the equipment price, installation cost and any subscription so that the quotation is clear.
If an existing system is already present, explain what is known about it. A previous app account or a branded card in the document pack is useful information, but the service status still needs to be established with the relevant provider. Do not assume that equipment fitted to a car remains active under the intended owner.
Think about the other people around the car
A hypercar may be driven by its owner, moved by a storage team and transported to a specialist dealer. Discuss those situations before choosing an authorisation arrangement. Ask the provider how approved contacts, additional drivers and changes of device are handled for the proposed service.
For a private collection, nominate the person responsible for keeping this information current. That is particularly helpful where the owner is away or a representative manages appointments. A simple private record can identify the provider, responsible contact and next renewal discussion without storing sensitive credentials in an ordinary handover file.
Make installation readiness part of the quotation
Tell us whether the car is at home, with a dealer or inside a storage facility. The installation location needs suitable access and conditions for the individual job. If permission from a site operator is needed, obtain it before an appointment is finalised.
Share any planned delivery or collection deadline. Availability, product suitability and appointment timing need to be agreed together. A clear brief helps us identify questions early rather than treating a delivery date as proof that a particular installation can be completed within it.
Leave with the right information
At handover, ask for a demonstration appropriate to the installed system and confirmation of the documents being provided. Establish who to contact for equipment questions, account changes and monitoring support. If there is a procedure for transport or service visits, ask the relevant provider to explain it.
The aim is an owner who understands the arrangement. A tracker is one part of a wider security plan that also includes authorised access, storage and personal routines. No equipment can promise to prevent every theft or guarantee the return of a vehicle.
